Adelaide to Sydney, upgraded to business class due to length of leg, and three seats to myself, the opportune westerly blowing us out into the ocean to turn and come at the city, sea cliffs, Bondi, Coogee, looking north to the centre and Newtown. I spent the day with Victoria walking around the harbour at dusk and later Roland, both whom I haven't seen for years, and not spent time with since Vevey… Breakfast in Newtown with someone I'm very glad I got out of bed early to see.
I'm writing this at midnight, oh yes jetlag and soon to sleep ...
Packed. Waiting for the shipping company. Everything I have, in storage for most of four years, and now to return. Books and books and books and… miscellanea. Back to living in a suitcase, for how long…

I hope before winter I'll have settled somewhere.
I have this strange compulsion that has overtaken me. I bought a ticket to Berlin and decided to live there, see what the dance is, see what the life might be like. Will it suit me? Will I feel something like home? Will I be able to stay?
So tomorrow, I fly to Sydney to see a beautiful friend ...
The bubble-quote of my traipsing through a park in Sydney, the endless, vertiginous blackness crisp with infinitesimal points, and there knowing the universe itself is enough, I didn't elaborate on the minutes prior. Why was I walking through University of Sydney at night, alone? Why was I doing even in Sydney? And why is this memory so often recalled.

Last year at Downtown, 42a was the most memorable show for me in Adelaide. Then Alison got Triennial funding and 42a is on next week at the Experimental Art Foundation. mmm… dance installation, small things, vibrating things, etc…
