Tori & Dean: Home Sweet Hollywood continues to rock the ratings on Oxygen. Its July 1 episode broke several network ratings records. That third episode of the series, which follows the lives of Tori Spelling and Dean McDermott and their two kids, generated a 0.8 household rating, while setting network viewership records among adults 18-to-49 (514,000) and female viewers (405,000). So yay us. (More here for numbers freaks) Next ep: Tuesday, July 8 at 10PM on Oxygen. ...
In today's New York Post, Adam Buckman reviews Randy Barbato and Fenton Bailey's Heidi Fleiss doc, which premieres on HBO July 21. He seems to like it:
"AS if the story of Heidi Fleiss could not get any stranger, I submit for your approval Heidi Fleiss: The Would-Be Madam of Crystal. Be prepared for the documentary event of the summer season. Get ready to 'cross over into...The Twilight Zone.' Those were the words of Rod Serling almost 50 years ago, but they surely apply to the present-day world of Heidi Fleiss, the infamous Hollywood Madam who is now the Birdwoman ...

"Seriously. I have always loved watermelon. Who knew?" said Randy Barbato after reading this story from the Associated Press this morning. Here's the gist:
Watermelons contain an ingredient called citrulline that can trigger production of a compound that helps relax the body's blood vessels, similar to what happens when a man takes Viagra, said scientists in Texas, one of the nation's top producers of the seedless variety. ...
Stake and chips. Matt Damon and Ben Affleck, bromancing buddies to the bone, played in the Ante Up for Africa No Limit Texas Hold-Em tournament put on by the World Series of Poker at the Rio Hotel and Casino in Vegas last night. All the money raised in the tournament will benefit survivors in Darfur and Sudan, and also fund efforts to end the crisis in Africa. Kinda makes you wanna hold em. (Gossip Girls) ...
You can thank – or curse – the shocking success of Sex and the City's recent theatrical presentation for the probability of Friends heading to the big screen in the near future via Warner Bros. The "gang" – you know 'em, you love 'em – now considerably longer in the tooth, are said to be eager to reprise their roles (probably none more eager than Matt LeBlanc, who's gotta be outta pocket money by now, don't you think?). The idea to make a Friends movie has, of course, come up virtually every day since the last TV episode was ...
Is this Angelina Jolie talking to a visitor and waving to well-wishers from the window of the Lenval hospital in Nice yesterday, or is it, as some have said, a body double? But why a body double? (Gossip Girls) ...
Not on the list of possible Emmy nominees for best guest actress on a sitcom (or whatever it is they call that category) are Alyssa Milano for her lengthy arc on My Name Is Earl, Mary-Kate Olsen for her Christian role on Weeds, and – despite rapturously positive reviews for her performance as a kooky receptionist – Britney Spears on How I Met Your Mother. Which leaves us wondering who's left to nominate? ...
We were compelled to return to that Instructables website and came across step-by-step instructions on how to shave using fire instead of a blade. Since the process is geared to the younger male with erratic new facial growth, we assume it's not recommended for use around the pubes area, where every sprouting hair is lovingly nurtured. ...

These stickers have been appearing all over town. Upon further investigation, seems there's a pretty serious campaign to overthrow the quail as the state bird and put the parrot in its place. Personally, as a loyal WOW employee, I feel obligated to nominate the wise and wonderful owl.

It comes as no surprise that the fabric of the two-months-old marriage of Mariah Carey, 39, and Nick Cannon, 27, may already be somewhat threadbare. Seems Carey's using Cannon as a personal assistant, albeit a highly paid one. "He’s basically around to attend to her diva-ish ways," a source told OK! magazine. Some might say he's very attentive to her needs – and when we say "needs" we mean "demands" – others that he's pussy-whipped. He's been making gopher runs for her as far back as their wedding days in Hawaii, when he was sent to buy ...
