E-KUT has launched this week with the hopes of becoming a large online community in which Brazilian teenagers can interact through forums, blogs, and instant messaging. I do not live in California, or even the United States, for that matter, but I was so saddened to read this morning that Proposition 8, a constitutional amendment bill that would ban legal homosexual marriage in that state, was passed. By a vote of 52 in favor and 48 against Prop 8, the measure to constitutionally ban gay marriage in the state of California passes for a majority win.
