In 1991, a small gay group donned eye-catching red shirts and gathered at the Magic Kingdom in Orlando, having no idea that word of mouth would propel their ''Gay Day'' outing into an event of epic proportions. Within six years, attendance had swelled to 60,000, and a single day had morphed into nearly a week of activities.
When Gay Day unfolds this year -- it's always on the first Saturday in June -- an estimated 135,000 gays and lesbians are expected to converge in Central Florida. The state's largest gay pride festival, held in St. Petersburg, draws about half ...
Disagreements aren't necessarily bad. Couples that never argue are often in pretty boring relationships. (This article is part of a continuing series for GAYTWOGETHER authored by John R. Ballew, M.S., a licensed private practice professional in Atlanta - specializing in issues related to coming out, sexuality, relationships and spirituality.) If you are good at verbal interaction with your partner, you may have learned it from watching your family of origin handle disagreements in healthy ways. ...

Only a few days before the 140th anniversary of his birth (14 May), the city of Berlin honoured the memory of Magnus Hirshfeld. A promenade located along the Spree river, right in the political centre of the German state, was re-baptised the Magnus-Hirschfeld-Ufer by the German Justice Minister on 6 may after the pioneering physician, sexologist and gay rights advocate who was persecuted by the Nazi. The chairwoman of the Berlin Jewish community, the sexologist Martin Dannecker, representatives of the City also joined members of the gay community in the event which happened at the initiative the Gay ...
We've been having glorious weather for over a week now - 10 degrees Celsius warmer than is normal for this time of year. I decided yesterday to go out exploring cycle routes on my bike. I struck off in the general direction of Winterswijk, a town near the Dutch/German border. So the other day I received the below emails.
Can you guess the emails are from some of my lezzy friends? Back to the point … apparently I have been living under a rock because I had no idea what my friends were talking about … Katy Perry … who’s she? Honestly I didn’t think much else about the emails until a couple hours ago when I heard the song in the car. I should have figured it dealt with a lesbionic subject matter from the title - I’m a bit slow like that. It was awesome to hear ...
