Here are a few of my fave pics from yesterday's parade. See my Flickr page for all the pictures. This gal was on the London Lesbian and Gay Switchboard float. Hirarious!I might not agree with much that Labour supporters now say but... this sign made me laugh so hard as I also nodded my head in agreement.Boris Johnson seemed at ease on the parade, but not far behind him was a group of marchers shouting "BORIS, BORIS, BORIS. OUT, OUT, OUT!!". I gave them a loud supporting blow on my rainbow whistle (of course I had a ...
Wall-e's favorite movie in the film is Barbara Striesand's Hello, Dolly! from 1969. Pixars last brain-storm of a movie on their list of movies to make. I will have to keep reading this wonderful heads up for movies blog I found called First Showing for new stuff by them. ...
I’ve checked in on Brian’s works from time to time over the past couple years since seeing his works at a convention a few years ago. Much like the illustration of Chris Evans above, Brian’s works are sexy, amazingly detailed and quite well done.
Brian experimented for years with oil and acrylic paints, pastels and pencils, paper and fabrics, but found himself always drawn back to the simple yet bold look of pencil on canvas. He quickly discovered his passion was for portraiture and fantasy illustrations, focusing on nature, spirituality, mythology, erotica, and the medieval.

The Republican party lost one of its most treasured figures this weekend. North Carolina Senator and noted civil rights foe Jesse Helms died Friday at the age of 86.
Since his early days in the Senate, which date back to 1973, Helms used his position and connections to reinforce the conservative movement. In fact, many attribute his passion as the impetus behind the rise of the right wing in America, particularly his championing of Ronald Reagan:
Helms’ decision to back Ronald Reagan’s upstart bid against President Gerald Ford in 1976 led the struggling California governor to an upset win in ...
Another good DC band bites the dust. Metropolitan is calling it quits. It looks like Shyam is heading for Chicago and the band is breaking up. Rats.So last night was their big farewell show at the Black Cat. And when I say "big" I really mean "nobody seemed to care." Don't get me wrong. Dinger and I love us some Metropolitan. Sometimes I think we're the only ones though. They can't draw a crowd for anything. Somehow they always manage to get Saturday night headlining spots on the mainstage at The Cat, yet they consistently do a terrible job ...
Welcome to the world of French cinema, my friends. Here’s a video with the very french-looking, not that that’s a bad thing, and very sexy Gaspard Ulliel dancing with a girl and a guy, to a really bad techno track. Ok, so here’s the payoff… the creepy chick gets Gaspard and the other guy to kiss her. After they’ve had their way with her, she wants them to kiss each other. It’s worth a moment of your life…

We didn't have a good start to the weekend. Friday night turned into Third World War between Sam and I, so all bets were off and we stayed home sulking. :SThe war continued into Saturday, so we tried to ease the tension by way of some retail therapy. I bought myself some new undies, courtesy of the stocksale sale at Myer. Nothing better than paying $10 for a pair of Oroton briefs. :) Also, Dan Murphy was selling clear skin wine at $2 a bottle!!! I know, cheaper than water!!! We didn't end up getting too many of those but ...
As agreed at some point yesterday, and as is my habit lately, herein is enclosed my report re: this past weekend:Nothing HappenedThe endI really have to work on restoring my exposition skills.Adding to this problem is that I think, at least in Provincetown, there's some environmental thing in the air, because I keep waking up with a headache, a big hole in my bank account, and little memory of the night before.Which makes it hard to recount anything anyway.I do remember people being tied up and that I had monster hiccups. Not much of a story though. ...
