A Fun Confetti Dress for Spring
Just recently the sun decided to pay us a visit in Seattle – the first such visit in many months. Those of you who blessed to lively in sunnier climates may not fully appreciate the joy and anticipation that a few clear, cloudless days can bring. Spring is just around the corner, and is one of my favorite seasons (along with fall) for crossdressing. The weather is warm enough to wear fun skirts, strappy heels and breezy sundresses. The cloying heat of summer has not yet arrived to bring sweat stains and force frequent ...
For the final podcast, the original gang is back together: Nick, Joe, Katey and yours truly, Nathaniel. We'll be back soon for a new season but this time we close out the film year with the final discussion of Oscar's 2009/10 hoedown throwdown. You can download the podcast through Mediafire or Rapidshare. We're quite gabby this time (72 minutes) so bear with us as we pick apart the Oscar ceremony in our usual train-of-thought manner. The teabagger movement is largely fake. It's mostly orchestrated by wealthy and corporate interests. One of the most powerful set of interests in that area is the Bush Family. In fact, following clarifying statements on ...
Bosnia-Herzegovina debuted their entry yesterday. The song could best be described as Balkan Rock, the likes of which we have seen last year from Macedonia, this year from Macedonia, and way way way way back in 1974 when Bosnia was part of Yugoslavia, except that was also witty and progressive (and Serbian). Mind you, in style, it’s pretty much Finland’s 2007 entry or Iceland’s 2007 entry. (Why oh why didn’t they aim to nick Finland 2008?) At least he’s good looking and can move. ...
On March 3, Sen. John Kerry wrote a lengthy letter in Bay Windows calling for an end to the ban on donation of blood by gay men, saying, “It’s a cruel reality that I thought warranted a close examination of the justifications. As it turns out, not a single piece of scientific evidence supports the ban.” He then went on to enumerate the many reasons there are, in fact, no good reasons for the ban.On Friday, less than two weeks after Kerry’s letter, the FDA announced that it is reexamining the discriminatory policy, which imposes a ...
