The Manchester International Festival is the site for the premiere of Rufus Wainwright's debut opera, "Prima Donna." Set in Paris, "Prima Donna" is a portrait of a fading opera singer who falls in love with a journalist.Originally commissioned by the Metropolitan Opera, Rufus penned the opera and composed and arranged the music.
