This is our final offering of THIS WEEK IN RACE. After more than three years and 165 offerings, we say farewell for now and urge our readers to continue to be meaningfully engaged in issues that reside at the intersection of race, politics and language.Others Have Stepped UpPartly because we have never taken advertising in this space and partly because of our interest in collaboration and solidarity with those who share a vision of a more racially just nation and world, we have never been interested in "competing" with any of the other bloggers. To the contrary, we try ...
Is that a banana in my pants? Yes, yes it is. And it's wearing the fabulous Bacock Obama condom. The Barack Obama stimulus pack of condoms keeps you Barock hard, and "safe through hard times." And they're strong enough to last a second term. Ba dum bum! Take THAT, haters! Thanks to Derek Puleson from Graphic Armor, whom we ran into on the street, for stocking us up. They custom make condoms, and I was seriously thinking of getting me some James St. James skins until I was told you had to buy them in bulk. And even ...
A majority of Americans now believe that Barack Obama does not deserve to be re-elected, according to a new national poll by CNN. Fifty-two percent said that President Obama does not deserve to be re-elected, while only 44 percent believe he does. A majority of Americans also have low opinions of Congress. Only 43 percent believed that Democrats deserved re-election and only 39 percent said the same of Republicans. But why is Brown a hero? Herobuilders.com explains:
“He’s a superhero, this guy,” Herobuilders honcho Emil Vicale told the Track. “He’s a man of action who stepped into the ring, 30 points down, and in just one month does the impossible. This is some amazing guy. He’s not just a Democrat killer ...
Despite approval from the state Senate in Hawaii last week, Democrats in the House wavered in their support and declined to vote on a civil-unions bill on Friday, effectively killing the measure. President Obama, who is hugely popular in Hawaii and is said to be a supporter of civil-unions, again failed to show any leadership and continued what appears to be his steadfast resolve to remain absolutely silent on the issue of marriage equality for gay citizens. President Obama has refused to advocate on behalf of equality in every state that has seen same-sex marriage as an issue on ...
