California’s social conservatives are out for Barack Obama’s blood. The Democratic presidential hopeful made headlines earlier this week by coming out against an amendment banning gay marriage in the Golden State. And, of course, the right wing’s making his homo support into a big stink:

Last month, we saw the Campaign for Children and Families compare those county clerks who have to perform same-sex marriages with Nazi officers who were forced to "gas the jews." Now CCF's head CCF-er, Randy Thomasson, is continuing his penchant for comparing widely dissimilar things, juxtaposing "change we can believe in" with "similarity we are lucky to have (almost) gotten through the first time around":

But now Bill has left the Martha Stewart-laden lands (and a six-figure salary) behind to join up as an unpaid volunteer with Equality for All, the organized campign to defeat the proposed marriage ban in California.
