The Right to Campaign  »  Tin Man
This Times editorial says something silly that I’ve also seen elsewhere. There is a lot of talk that Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton is now fated to lose the Democratic nomination and should pull out of the race. We believe it is her right to stay in the fight and challenge Senator Barack Obama as long as she has the desire and the means to do so. That is the essence of the democratic process. Will people stop using this straw man? Has anyone ever said she has no right to continue campaigning? No. I have the right to wear a clown suit ...

Limbaugh comes out for Obama « - Blogs from CNN.com  »  Michael Mahler's Ditherings
Let me see if I have this correctly: Limbaugh pushes his Dittoheads to cross lines and vote for Hillary to keep the Democratic primary going, and now, just when it is clear that Obama will be the Democratic Party nominee, he tries to get us to believe that it was Clinton that he thought was the stronger candidate all along? We are expected to believe that a right wing Republican pushes his lackeys to support the person he thought was the better candidate? Is there anyone stupid enough to fall for this line of crap from Rush? Will someone ...

Where to go from here?  »  Where's the Outrage?
The MSM is now returning to the theme that Hillary Clinton needs to find an exit strategy. My question is why? The math in this race for the Democratic nomination has not really changed in over 8 weeks. Hillary Clinton needed to have large victories since Texas and Ohio. (Do you even remember them?) While 1 out of 2 isn’t bad in Las Vegas, it is bad in this election. Senator Clinton needed 65-35 victories in both states and from then on. She has gotten neither. On the money side of the equation, I found it odd that Senator ...

May 6 finals and $6.4 mil  »  esoterically.net/weblog
Good Morning. Here are the final numbers from yesterday’s primaries… NORTH CAROLINA: Barack Obama, 890,695 votes, 56%; Hillary Clinton, 657,920 votes, 42%. INDIANA: Barack Obama, 623,294 votes, 49%; Hillary Clinton, 641,734 votes, 51%. The popular vote in the two states combined was 1,513,989 for Mr. Obama and 1,299,654 for Mrs. Clinton — a difference of 214,335 in favor of Mr. Obama. I’ll stand by my prediction of last night. Senator Obama clinches the nomination in Oregon on May 20. Meanwhile, the Clinton camp is having financial difficulties (again)… Clinton lends herself $6.4M as Obama’s lead grows WASHINGTON (AP) - A campaign aide says Hillary Rodham Clinton ...

Obama up in NC, Clinton up in IN  »  The Mad Professah Lectures
Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton continue their fight for the Democratic nomination to Indiana and North Carolina tomorrow. The latest polls have Obama up by an average of 6.5 points in North Carolina and Clinton up by an average of 4.6 points in Indiana.Over the weekend the big news was that Obama won the Guam caucuses by a mere 7 (count 'em, folks!) votes out of nearly 4500 cast, and will thus pick up 2 superdelegates (they split Guam's 4 eleected delegates evenly).Today, Obama picked up 3 more super-delegates. ...

Backing.  »  Queerty
Human Rights Campaign president Joe Solmonese yesterday released a list of 14 Senatorial candidates whom they’re backing. It’s worth noting that HRC did not endorse North Carolina-based homo-politico Jim Neal, who’s hoping to get the Democratic nomination over Kay Hagan, a veteran politician. HRC apparently doesn’t know which way to lean, so they’re just sitting on their haunches. They wouldn’t want to rock the boat, of course… [NY Blade] ...
