If you're an LGBT activist or one who follows the movement, Maureen Dowd's latest NY Times column won't teach you all that much. But let's face -- we are a minority, debatably even within the LGBT community itself. So if only for the sake of starting far-reaching conversations, we're thrilled that Dowd -- she of a wide audience that includes many could-be converts -- dedicated this week's column to Milk, Feinstein, and what the current interest in 70's era California politics means for queer people of the Bush-almost-over era.
