One of my Twitter pals pointed me to Westcoast newcomers The Cataracs who are hybrid between Chromeo, Lo-Fi-Fnk and Shwayze. Their music isa breezy brew of lo-fi electronica and pop that is totally fun and infectious. The Cataracs are David Singer-Vine, 20 aka “Campa,” and Niles Hollowell-Dhar, 19, “Cyrano”. Both members share vocalist duties with Cyrano acting as the sole producer.  After nearly five years of developing their music and building a steady fan base in their hometown of Berkley, CA,  The Cataracs are ready to take their local fame to a higher level.
