Happy National Coming Out Day! Every year on October 11th, we celebrate a day where we decide to be true to ourselves and come out to friends, family, co-workers, and anyone in our lives. Last Friday night’s crowd was 50+ at the first Queerly Speaking event at the Backbeat Cafe in Downtown Dallas. Kudos to Fahari Arts Institute and all the participating queer poets, friends, and straight allies that made this first event a success!. Be sure to be at the next event on Friday, October 23, 2009.
